Hello! I still have to form together my thoughts of episode 3 and 4 of Fated to Love you. In the meantime, I wanted to draw some more fan art. I will say, I really liked the last two episodes. Lee Gun has been a bit of a roller coaster, but that doesn’t surprise me by any means. His core person is someone I really like, so I do hope that we see more of that in between his paranoid freak-outs.
Mi Young is still extremely likable. I still can’t get past how genuine she is; which is ironic because Lee Gun seems to think she’s this master manipulator now.
That’s all I’ll say for now.
Mi Young is really fun to draw. She seems to have such innocence and purity of heart. Most of us don’t like pushover female leads, but I don’t lump her in with the other weak female leads. For one, I don’t think she’s really weak. I think she is too kind to a fault, but I think this is an area in which we might see her grow. I can forgive her flaw also because she seems to have other character strengths. She has an inner beauty which shines; but she doesn’t realize it.
I wanted to capture the moment where Mi Young overhears Lee Gun’s practice proposal. She is so touched by his words that it almost looks like she falls in love in that moment. You can tell she is the hopeless romantic type. To add to the atmosphere of the scene, I decide to keep the original photo background, but I blurred it a bit and removed most of the color to keep the focus on pure heart, lovely, sweet Mi Young.
I’m still taking requests if you have another Fated to Love Character you would like drawn. You can also let me know if there is a specific scene you have in mind. I’m planning on continuing to make them until I get sick of it.
Here’s another piece of fan art I made from Episode two. I love this moment where they are… you know. This illustrate it in such an innocent cute way, while still making it obvious.
I made this one more stylized since the background already had that “cartoonish” look.
